Sydney, Australia – Knight Frank Australia is proud to announce it has extended its Principal Partnership with the Waratahs Women’s side for a further two seasons.
The partnership will continue to see Knight Frank as a Principal Partner of the four-time Super W Championship-winning Waratahs and once again have its logo feature prominently on the front of the jersey for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Knight Frank’s Principal Partnership will also see its support for the Waratahs broadened to include not only the Super W team, but also the Seven Opens Women’s team, Seven U17 Girls team, the Senior Academy and the Girls Gen Blue U18 Academy Jerseys. The teams combined have around 116 women players.
Commercial and residential real estate consultancy specialists Knight Frank combine global insight and local expertise to provide their clients an edge across all commercial and residential property transactional and advisory services.
Knight Frank, like the Super W Waratahs, understands success – with over 125 years of experience, Knight Frank is a global powerhouse with over 22,750 employees and 558 offices worldwide.
As an added layer to the partnership, Knight Frank will look to provide employment pathways for Waratahs Women's players which work around their training commitments.
Knight Frank Chief Executive Officer James Patterson said Knight Frank Australia was thrilled to be announcing the firm would continue to be a Principal Partner of the NSW Waratahs Women’s rugby union team for another two years.
“We have been partnering with the team for one year now, providing a unique point of difference with our clients and staff alike, and we are excited to continue that partnership until at least the end of 2024,” he said.
“At Knight Frank we are passionate about supporting sportspeople, as well as creating career opportunities for women in property as we work towards 40:40:20 gender representation across all levels of our organisation as we continue to foster a healthy and balanced workplace.
“Our hope is that our partnership with the NSW Waratahs Women’s team will make it financially easier for team members to continue doing what they love and are good at, while also gaining some skills and a pathway to a career that they could potentially move into post their rugby career.”
NSW Waratahs CEO Paul Doorn said: "Our NSW Waratahs Women’s team is such an inspiration to young girls and women who want to play rugby, and we are delighted that Knight Frank will continue to support them.
“It’s fantastic to have a Principal Partner that shares the same values of work ethic, being results-driven, but most importantly providing opportunities to excel both on and off the rugby field.
“Partners like Knight Frank are vital in helping us achieve our vision for professionalism in women’s rugby – raising standards on and off the field, creating the right pathway, club and competition structures, improving the coaching, the support and services in our high performance environment, enabling our female players to be the best they can be, and embedding player payments and career support models.”
The announcement follows the exciting news that the NSW Waratahs Women’s team will head to New Zealand for a five-day pre-season tour to take on reigning Super Rugby Aupiki Champions Chiefs Manawa and the Blues on Friday, February 17.
The tour is the perfect way for the team to kick start their 2023 campaign in their quest to win their fifth title in the competition’s six-year history.
